  • This means that for every WINDZeBALL purchased, ZePICKLEBALL will donate one ball.
  • This includes balls in 2 or 4 packs, so ZePICKLEBALL will donate matching 2 or 4 balls to the underprivileged in foreign countries.
  • The balls donated are top-quality, outdoor balls, perfect for everyday use.

4) What is the origin and meaning of the ZePICKLEBALL's name?
  • In chemistry, a single electron atom has a nuclear charge +Ze, where Z is the atomic number and e is the electronic charge. Energy/voltage is required to excite the electron, to bring together other atoms.
  • The “Ze atom”, is at the center, adding energy, and bringing things together.
  • We believe this is the perfect representation of the sport that provides the excitement of bringing people together to socialize, meet new friends and build community. To us, the name ZePICKLEBALL just makes sense.
  • While ZePICKLEBALL is all about providing superior products, we are mindful to always include the “energy and excitement” in all we do and provide.

5) What is WINDZeBALL?
  • An aerodynamically-designed and patent-pending ball specifically provided to address and mitigate the ill affects of menacing wind.

6) Why invent WINDZeBALL?
  • Playing with some degree of wind is part of the game of pickleball, and actually can be fun.
  • Strong, gusty and/or swirling wind, on the other hand, can be downright frustrating.
  • In fact, over 2 out of 3 pickleball players have stated that menacing wind has cut down on their playing time and/or playing enjoyment (Reddit Survey, 155 respondents).
  • We at Ze were tired of mother nature limiting our outdoor play time.  We knew there had to be a solution to playing through the wind.
  • So we invented and patented WINDZeBALL.

7) When should I play with WINDZeBALL?
  • Most players say when wind crosses over and into double digit speeds, the fun is greatly hindered.
  • We believe during rec play, with the presence of strong, gusty and/or swirling wind, is a great time to play with WINDZeBALL!
  • In addition to using WINDZeBALL in the menacing wind, WINDZeBALL is outstanding for use with:
    • Speed practice and drilling. You can find great drills outlined on this website.
    • Ball machine use. Due to the patented aerodynamic design, WINDZeBALL provides consistent and straight ball flight.

8) When should I NOT play with WINDZeBALL?
  • During USA Pickleball sanctioned tournament play, and days with no or light wind, an official USA Pickleball approved ball should be used.
  • However, when these ordinary outdoor pickleballs are haphazardly blown all around the court, then it is time for WINDZeBALL.
    • WINDZeBALL is intended as an “occasional-use” ball, not for everyday use.
    • USA Pickleball, the official National Governing Body of pickleball, authorizes balls which meet stringent guidelines to maintain the integrity of the sport of pickleball. We endorse and support USA Pickleball.
    • NOTE: THERE ARE TIMES WHEN WINDS CAN BE SO EXTREME, THAT EVEN PLAY WITH WINDZeBALL IS NOT EFECTIVE AND NOT ADVISED.

9) How much playtime should a player expect from a pickleball, including WINDZeBALL?
  • Extreme wind requires an extreme ball ... WINDZeBALL.
  • WINDZeBALL is designed for that optimal feel, play AND bounce, in extreme conditions.
  • Like all balls, at some point, WINDZeBALL crosses a useful life and becomes obsolete. 
  • Do you know those tennis players who crack open a new can of balls each time they start a new match? YUP, we do also. This is a common practice, as new balls can play the best. This maximizes the bounce and play of the balls.
  • Thankfully, pickleballs can last longer than tennis balls. However, a pickleball also is freshest and at its best when first used.
  • Your time is valuable. When you consider how long our balls last, they are an amazing value.
  • Let’s quantify: please consider that most pickleball is played as doubles. And if you play for 2 hours per outing, that is 8 hours of individual player play time per ball. You do the math and realize the value of a ball’s cost per player hour, of just one outing!

10) Where is WINDZeBALL produced?
  • WINDZeBALL is proudly made in the USA, while the vast majority of other pickleballs are produced in China.
